Interdisciplinary Artist, Filmmaker, and Animal Rights Activist Stephanie Lane founded SPECIESISM.WTF in Summer 2023, upon exiting the commercial filmmaking world to use her skills and passion for the greater good. Stephanie’s work is the first of its kind to utilise AI and modern technologies to focus on the theme of speciesism on large-scale billboard artwork, as well as performance art and short film. By exploring the theme of speciesism, Stephanie aims to ignite a collective consciousness that recognizes the inherent worth of and gives equal consideration to nonhuman beings, regardless of their species, to inspire change for a future where exploitation of nonhuman animals is no longer normalised.

Throughout her career, Stephanie has successfully launched several humanitarian projects through the arts, raising funds for children in impoverished communities around the world, most notably a collaboration with UNICEF where her work was exhibited at the UN Headquarters in NYC. This project was also commissioned as a wider exhibition at the Tate Lates, Tate Modern, London. Her film work as a one-part creative duo with her partner has been featured by numerous top curators such as Vice, MTV, and Creative Review.
